Update 6:15 PM

As the NFL Free agency period opened today, the biggest name to move could be New York Jets cornerback Darrelle Revis, who is rumored to be close to being shipped to the Tmapa Bay Buccaneers. Now, Kimberley Jones just reported on the NFL Network that she believes Darrelle Revis trade is “imminent”

UPDATE 9:00 PM

The New York Post is reporting that a trade involving Darrelle Revis could come as soon as today:

Although Revis’ health complicates matters – he’s less than five months removed from ACL surgery – the best window to deal him is during free agency, which starts Tuesday at 4 p.m., before the already-select market for Revis dries up.

“I think (the Jets are) going to move Revis,” a source familiar with the situation told the News on Tuesday. “Bet it. If he isn’t traded by tomorrow, (general manager John) Idzik is an idiot. One buyer might dry out. He has to move him. The risk of keeping him kills the franchise for five years and Idzik is gone.”

The New York Jets may be close to reaching a resolution with embattled cornerback Darrelle Revis soon. Pro Football Talk is now reporting that a deal could be coming very soon to help Revis escape New York:

A league source tells PFT that the Jets have an offer on the table for Revis. Per the source, the offer is a “good” one, both as to the compensation given to the team and the financial package that would be extended to Revis.

Another source tells PFT that, if such an offer has been made, the financial component has yet to be shared with the Revis camp. To date, the Jets and Revis have had no talks, and the Jets have not given Revis’s agents permission to talk to other teams regarding a new contract.

And odds-makers everywhere are scrambling to make the Seahawks one of their prohibitive favorites to represent the NFC in next year’s Super Bowl

One of the biggest stories of the offseason is the Minnesota Vikings being ready to move on from disgruntled wide receiver Percy Harvin, and would listen to trade offers for the Pro Bowl return-man. This news arose after the story of the reported feud with head coach Leslie Frazier caused the Vikings to decide it was time to move on and cut their losses:

It started in that game at Seattle, where TV cameras caught Harvin waving his arms and screaming at Frazier on the sideline over his frustration with the Vikings’ struggling offense. According to four NFL sources, Harvin and Frazier had another heated exchange weeks later in front of some players and staff members, fueling speculation about a deteriorating relationship that could spell the end of Harvin’s four seasons in Minnesota.

Now, he may be getting traded to one of the potential Super bowl favorites in 2013:

The Minneapolis Star-Tribune’s Sid Hartman reports Percy Harvin has informed the Minnesota Vikings that he does not want to play for them anymore and wants to be traded:

However, the latest word from some good sources around the NFL is that Harvin, who missed the final seven regular-season games as well as the playoff game because of a serious ankle injury, has told the Vikings that he doesn’t want to play for them and wants to be traded.

Harvin’s relationship with the Vikings has been much-discussed, including rumors that he isn’t pleased with the coaches’ plans for him on offense and that he does not get along with the medical staff. Quite simply, it seemed as though Harvin wasn’t happy here, and that was made obvious when he didn’t hang around the team during their late-season push toward the playoffs while he rehabbed his ankle.

Don’t expect to see a Harvin trade until closer to the draft in order to give NFL teams a chance to pursue free agent receivers.
