ESPN Preview; Housh to the Enemy

By nate

ESPN unveiled its preview of the Bengals and the experts predicted a Cincinnati finish everywhere from first to fourth in the AFC North. The good news is that Adam Schefter and John Clayton, who have both visited a good number of training camps, each picked the Bengals to win the division.

In other news, Baltimore reached an agreement with T.J. Housmanzadeh, who spent a good part of his Bengals career killing the Ravens. The move will certainly give Baltimore more firepower on offense, but it doesn’t solve any of the Ravens’ defensive issues. Ed Reed will now miss the first six weeks of the season on the PUP list, leaving the secondary largely devoid of talent when the Bengals face them in Week 2. Let’s hope the offensive line can protect long enough for Carson Palmer to exploit the mismatches, which could appear at several spots.

Stay tuned.
