Ex-Bengal Nate Webster Charged With Sex Crimes

By Editorial Staff

Former Bengals linebacker Nate Webster was indicted with seven sex-related charges involving a 15-year-old girl. The indictment occurred on June 10th, and was sealed until today.

The charges include sexual battery, gross sexual imposition and five counts of unlawful sexual conduct with a minor. The charges have a maximum sentence of 36.5 years.

The alleged incident was said to have occured  from June to December 2009.

Prosecutors say Webster was a family friend to the girl, and that Webster threatened the young girl with a gun if she told any of her family what happened. The young girl did in fact tell her family, who later contacted police & Hamilton County Prosecutor Joe Deters.

During a police search of Websters home today, police found 4 guns, one of them being an assault rifle.

For those who may not remember Webster and his career with the Bengals, he was with the team from the 2004 & ’05 seasons, wearing jersey # 52.  You may not really remember him, and that’s OK, he only played in 4 games over 2 seasons in Cincinnati.
