Bengals Agree on Terms With A.J. Green

Wide Receiver A.J. Green, the 4th overall pick of the 2011 NFL Draft has officially signed with the Cincinnati Bengals.

Contract information is a bit hazy to say the least. The amount Green is due from the Bengals is for now unknown to the public. The length of the contract will most likely be the ‘rookie standard’ meaning 1st round picks will have 4 year contracts with options for a 5th season.

Green brings something to the table that the Bengals haven’t seen on their roster in quite sometime, an elite receiving talent without an ego to match. With many assuming Green is Ochocinco’s replacement, most think it will be young Jerome Simpson who lines up of the opposite side from Green.

Green’s career as a Georgia Bulldog was an astounding one, he made catches no other NCAA player could make. When he declared for the draft last Spring, it was easy to make a case for why he was the best Offensive player in the 2011 draft.
