Bengals-Browns Second Quarter Film Review

Continuing my comprehensive film review from yesterday, I’m taking a look at the second quarter this time.

For some reason, the Bengals are god-awful in the second quarter- allowing 91 points and putting up 32. That’s horrendous. If we weren’t so incredible in the second halves of games, our record would be far worse. I guess that means the coaches are making the right adjustments at halftime, but at some point we need to stop digging ourselves into huge holes before halftime.

In the second quarter of the Browns game, the Bengals scored zero points and allowed ten points. Pass coverage from the Browns was especially good. For the most part, teams punted the entire quarter, but the strip-sack of Andy Dalton just before halftime was huge. The Browns recovered the fumble with 33 seconds left in the half on the Bengals 14 yard line. The Bengals couldn’t hold them off long enough, and the Browns scored 4 plays later.

Enjoy!
