NFL Draft Order
The Carson Palmer trade has officially yielded the Bengals the 17th overall pick in the 2012 NFL draft. The Oakland Raiders limped to the finish line and ended up with a regular season record of 8-8 after winning only one of their last five games. The pick could have been much later in the draft (at least 21-24) if the Raiders had won their final game against the San Diego Chargers. So, let’s all give a warm round of applause to Carson Palmer and the Oakland Raiders. They have been so kind.
The Bengals own first round draft pick will fall between 21 and 24 if they lose to the Houston Texans this Saturday. If they win and move on the divisional round of the playoffs, the pick will be between 25-28.
