SH Nightlife Headlines: Stanford Routt Update

It was reported earlier toady by NFL insider Jason La Canfora that free agent cornerback Stanford Routt would visit the Cincinnati Bengals on Friday. Routt was released last Thursday just one year into a $54.5 million, five-year contract, which ended his seven-year tenure in Oakland. He’s currently on a two-day visit with the Kansas City Chiefs, who have their own free agent CB, Brandon Carr, whom they have yet to resign. Its unclear if the Chiefs have legitimate interest in Routt, or if they’re sending a message to Carr that they’ll easily move on without him if they can’t agree to a contract, similar to what the Bengals did last year to Cedric Benson when they scheduled a visit with Ahmad Bradshaw.
