I have been a Cincinnati Bengals fan my whole life. I remember the Super Bowl appearance after the 1988 season. Unfortunately, since then, it’s been mostly downhill for my favorite team. Since that Super Bowl season, they have only had four years with a winning record, while posting 10 seasons of five wins or less. Bad draft picks and free agent pickups have marred the last two decades, but as any Bengals fan will point out, the lack of imagination by owner and GM Mike Brown has contributed to the problems just as much. His unwillingness to sign quality players in free agency has hurt the team and angered fans, and it looks as though fans are going to have to sit through another unsatisfying offseason this year.
