As the first week of Free Agency slides to a close, the general sentiment from greater Bengaldom could described as chapped. In all honesty, perhaps we were a bit of an over-gauging of efforts expected. As much as it may have been hoped, there was never any intent on getting after Mario Williams, Carl Nicks or any other top notch stud. One way to describe the Bengals approach to the market would be pragmatic; another would be predictably chincy. At this early point, the argument could go either way. Since it’s still far too early to predict a return to the play-offs or put the proverbial paper bag on our heads, a simple evaluation of personnel moves thus far will have to suffice as we saunter boldly forth.
