3. Maurice Jones-Drew: In 2011, MJD was spectacular. Opponents knew he was getting the ball, and couldn’t do anything about it. He had 1,600 yards rushing, and 11 total TDs. Jacksonville will need to get him some help if they want him to be around a while.
2. Arian Foster: Another dual threat who had over 2,200 yards two years ago. His combination of size and speed make him hard to deal with, and with a Dynamic Houston offense, he stands to continue putting up big numbers.
1. Ray Rice: As a Bengals fan, this is hard to write, but his 2nd season of over 2000 yards from scrimmage in three years, his 15 TDs, his ability to both run and catch, and his ability to stay healthy put him at the top. There’s no reason he won’t have another big season in 2012.
There are several guys on the cusp of making the list, and with another good season, could put themselves there. Beanie Wells, Reggie Bush, Ryan Mathews, and Marshawn Lynch all just missed it. Arguments could be made for changes, so, as always, feel free to leave a comment here, or on Twitter (@vancemeek).
