A grand slam in the sixth inning by catcher Devin Mesoraco helped the Reds earn a 6-3 victory over the Atlanta Braves last night, which was their sixth consecutive victory and first sweep of the Braves since 1980. With a loss by the St. Louis Cardinals to the Philadelphia Phillies, the Reds are now in sole possession of first place in the NL Central Division, something that haven’t been able to say since May of last year.

NFLPA executive director DeMaurice Smith continues to demand that the NFL reveals their evidence regarding the Saints’ bounty scandal:
