Weekly Recap: Young Bengals Staying Hungry

Leon Hall is continuing to rehab his torn achilles as he hopes to be ready for the start of training camp, and though he’s not practicing this week, he is on the field doing rehab drills, which is a good site to see:

The Bengals are wasting no time in getting Kevin Zeitler accustomed to the NFL game, as they are already playing him on the first-team offense a right guard. When the 2012 NFL Season opens, the Bengals starting o-line projects to be Andrew Whitworth at LT, Travelle Wharton at LG, Kyle Cook at center, Zeitler at RG, and Andre Smith at RT.

Nate Clements is apparently suffering from a muscle pull and is not participating in voluntary workouts. He and Leon Hall are projected to be two of the teams’ top three CBs, but with them out, rookie CBs Dre Kirkpatrick and Shawn Prater figure to get a lot of practice reps in the coming months while learning from veterans Terrence Newman, Jason Allen, and Adam “Pacman” Jones.

Hilton went undrafted out of Indiana State but showed potential in college. He’s facing a tough battle at the loaded WR spot, but may be able to catch onto the practice squad.
