8. Houston Texans – I wanted to rank Houston higher than this. They have a very potent offense if Matt Schaub can stay healthy. My big concern is losing Mario Williams to the Bills and sending DeMeco Ryans to the Eagles. Two key defensive players are lost, and defense was the reason this team stayed so strong last season despite their quarterback issues. I still believe that the Texans are going to be one of the more dominant teams in the AFC this year, and shouldn’t have any problems winning their division.

7. Chicago Bears – The Bears could potentially have one of the most explosive offenses in the league this season. They also improved their defense through the draft. If Jay Cutler can come back healthy, the Bears could go on a tear this year. The only question is if the offensive line can keep Cutler upright.

6. Pittsburgh Steelers – The Steelers had one glaring weakness last season. Offensive line. Well, I guess that they realized that as well and went ahead and took two offensive linemen with their first two picks in the draft. Both of these guys are going to come in and start right away giving Ben much more comfort in the pocket.

5. Philadelphia Eagles – This is a team that I think will be very scary this season. They have a very dynamic offense with Michael Vick, LeSean McCoy, and DeSean Jackson. They also made improvements to their linebackers and defensive line, which were their two weaknesses last season. If they can be as good on defense as they are on offense, and Vick can find a way to stay healthy, this team can make a run deep into the playoffs.

4. Green Bay Packers – When you have Aaron Rodgers under center, you’re automatically a good team. When you have offensive weapons around him, you’re a great team. Green Bay is exactly that. They may not be the strongest on the defensive side of the ball, but when they can create turnovers and their offense can put up over 30 points a game, you’re playing winning football. They’ll have the same recipe this season.
