AFC North Headlines: Steelers’ David Johnson Out for Season, & Joe Haden to Avoid Suspension?

Steelers FB David Johnson suffered a significant knee injury during the first quarter of their preseason loss to the Eagles last night. As it turns out, Johnson tore his anterior cruciate ligament and is lost for the season.

New information has come out on Browns CB Joe Haden and his potential 4 game suspension. Haden’s hope of avoiding an NFL suspension rests on whether he received special permission from the NFL to use Adderall.

Bengals RB Bernard Scott continues to be sidelined by a hand injury.

Ravens Head Coach John Harbaugh revealed after Thursday’s preseason opener that WR Torrey Smith (ankle sprain) and TE Ed Dickson (subluxed shoulder) could miss a few weeks.

Free-agent wide receiver Plaxico Burress is willing to take one-year contract for the veteran minimum to play this year, but the Steelers have shown no interest yet.
