AFC North Headlines: Steelers Mike Wallace will be back by Week 1

ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported today that Steelers holdout Mike Wallace is expected to report back to the Steelers before the regular season begins, giving him around a week to prepare for the teams’ opener against the Denver Broncos.

Steelers WR Antonio Brown and CB Ike Taylor got into a fight Sunday afternoon during training camp. It was the second time this preseason that Brown and Taylor have been involved in a scuffle together.

Ravens CB Cary Williams continues to lose ground in his CB battle with the younger and more talented Jimmy Smith. Williams struggled in the teams preseason opener against the Falcons, and is on the verge of being relegated to the bench in favor of Smith, a first-round pick from a year ago.

The Steelers have signed veteran TE Justin Peelle to compensate for the loss of David Johnson.

Ravens OT Jah Reid practiced yesterday for the first time in training camp.

Roddrick Muckelroy is manning the MLB spot for the Bengals as Rey Maualuga is being held out of practice as he recovers from a minor knee injury sustained in Friday’s preseason opener. Rey will miss this week’s game vs. the Falcons, but hopes to return next week for the Bengals game against the Packers.

Browns DE Frostee Rucker was seen wearing a brace on right knee, and LB Scott Fujita was wearing a sleeve on his left leg as they watched Browns walk-throughs yesterday.
