7 Things to Watch for Against Atlanta

2 of 3

3. Defending the Deep Pass

A very important and somewhat over-looked/forgotten aspect of our defense last season was how susceptible we were to the big play down the field. last season we have up several long passes that went for six.

We all know that Matt Ryan is absolutely in love with his receivers Roddy White, and second year man, Julio Jones. They are both deep threats.

With six corners on our roster that we taken in the first round; Leon Hall, Nate Clements, Terence Newman, Jason Allen, Adam “Pac-Man” Jones, and Dre Krikpatrick, there should definitely be some extra help down the field. Not to mention Reggie Nelson, our Free Safety, was also a first round pick.

4. Receiver Position Battle

The fourth thing to watch for is another position battle. This time it is for the receivers.

A.J. Green, Brandon “Tater-Bug” Tate, and Andrew “Baby Hawk” Hawkins all seem to be locks to make the roster. The other three spots are completely up for grabs. So during the second half you are going to see Armon Binns, Jordan Shipley, Mohamed “Mo” Sanu, Ryan Whalen, and Marvin Louis Jones really busting it for those final three roster spots.
