From the morning:

After leaving the first preseason game against the Steelers with a wrist injury, Eagles QB Michael Vick was once again injured last night vs. the Patriots after he appeared to suffer a rib injury. The good news is x-rays on Vick’s ribs showed no fracture. Still, this number of injuries this early is a major concern to Vick and the Eagles, who hope to contend for a Super Bowl.

Jacksonville officials may not be so thrilled about loss of home games to London.

Eagles rookie QB Nick Foles completed 18-of-28 passes for 217 yards and two TDs with one INT against the Patriots last night, and is making a strong push for the Eagles’ #2 QB role.

DE/OLB Aldon Smith returns to practice for 49ers.

Browns RB Trent Richardson (knee scope) is expected to be “all systems go” for Week 1.

Rookie QB Ryan Tannehill has been named the Dolphins’ Week 1 starting quarterback.

In need of a boost on defense after several injuries to their LB corps, the Saints acquired MLB Barrett Ruud from the Seahawks in exchange for an undisclosed draft pick.

Saints MLB Curtis Lofton will miss the remainder of preseason with a high ankle sprain.
