Week 3 is about to get underway tonight with what should be a high scoring matchup after last week’s overall lack of fantasy production from guys not named Bush, Amendola, or Bowe. The New York Giants will be visiting the Carolina panthers in a game that will go a long way in determining the fate of the home team while the defending Super Bowl champions are just trying not to lose 2 out of their first 3 games. Without further delay here’s a quick look at some of the expected studs and duds of week 3 in the NFL.

Thursday Night Football (Giants at Panthers)

Whoever you got….. Start ‘Em – This might be the highest scoring game of the week as far as fantasy value goes. Cam Newton, start him. Eli Manning, start him. All wide receivers you own in this game, start them. That inlcudes Brandon Lafell. Heck that even includes Giants TE Martellus Bennet. The only person I wouldn’t start from this game is a Panther’s RB. I don’t expect to see much of DeAngelo Williams or Jonathon Stewart in this one. Once again, whoever you got from the Panthers or Giants start them this week as this game is guaranteed to be a shootout.

Sunday September 23rd

Sam Bradford and Danny Amendola– Start ‘Em

I expect the Rams to fall behind in this one early to the Bears at home and the Bradford to Amendola connection will surely benefit from that scenario.

Jay Cutler– Start ‘Em

Fantasy owners that want to give up on Cutler after his miserable last week against Green Bay have a good argument for doing so but for those of you looking for a sleeper pick at QB this week, Jay Cuter is your guy.Brandon Marshall should also have a strong performance this week.

Trent Richardson– Sit ‘Em

Don’t expect much from either the Bills or the Browns this week and I would bench the Brown’s rookie sensation against a tough Bills run defense.

Anybody you got in the Tampa Bay vs. Dallas game- Start ‘Em

This is another game I expect to be a shootout and expect good games from everybody not named Demarco Murray. That’s right I’m saying sit Murray this week in favor of a better matchup as this game should do a lot of damage through the air. I expect Tony Romo to be stellar as well as Dez Bryant and Miles Austin. I also wouldn’t be surprised if Jason Witten made a strong comeback this week. From Tampa I like Doug Martin and Vincent Jackson to have strong performances and don’t be afraid to start Josh Freeman if your starting QB has a bad matchup this week.

Reggie Bush– Start ‘Em

Reggie Bush is a top 10 RB until proven otherwise.

Mark Sanchez and Stephan Hill– Start ‘Em

Expect these two to re-emerge as a potential dynamic duo after this week’s game against the Dolphins.
