Starting corners Leon Hall and Nate Clements conditioned to miss practice today, but defensive coordinator Mike Zimmer said that he believes both players will suit up Sunday when the Bengals face off against the Jaguars for a chance to improve to 3-1. The team did add safety Chris Crocker to the roster today, signaling the teams’ disbelief in their current safety situation. Taylor Mays and Jeromy Miles have struggled as first-year starters, and Nate Clements did get the nod their last week, so its unclear who will be lining up there when Maurice Jones-Drew leads the Jags’ offense onto the field Sunday.
The other notables were CB Jason Allen and starting center Jeff Faine going from limited practice on Wednesday to not practicing Thursday. If they don’t practice tomorrow or only practice in a limited capacity, their likelihood of playing Sunday will certainly take a significant hit.
Starting WR Laurent Robinson continues to miss practice with concussion-like symptoms, and its looking more unlikely he’ll play Sunday.
Starting LB Daryl Smith has essentially been ruled out with a groin injury that may keep him out beyond this week.
