Andy Dalton threw 13 interceptions as a rookie. That is a fairly impressive number for a rookie QB, with a rookie #1 WR and a rookie offensive coordinator. This year however in 6 games he has already thrown 9 interceptions, which puts him on pace for 24 this season. He has also already 3 interceptions returned for a TD this year. That is a far cry from the Dalton we seen last year who wasn’t loosing games with his arm. This could all be from Gruden opening up the offense a little more this year on him and he is still learning as usually happens with most 2nd year QB’s (hint why it’s called the Sophomore Slump), or he could just be making bad decisions as he is under pressure. He has also had some inconsistency from Jermaine Gresham and hasn’t had the deep threat opposite A.J. Green that Jerome Simpson provided last year. So the real question for Bengals fans is, is this something Bengals fans need to be worried about with Dalton going forward, or is this something that just happens to a young QB who is still learning and can be corrected? We need Dalton to be more careful with the ball, the Dolphins and the Browns games could have both been wins if not for some bad decisions by Dalton. So Bengals fans what do you say? Worry? Or Dalton will be fine?
