2013 Breakout Bengals

5. Carlos Dunlap DE
Carlos Dunlap may not seem like a breakout candidate because he has been one of the league’s best at getting pressure on the quarterback but, I think next year he has the potential to start finishing what he starts and tally double-digit sacks. Dunlap has been improving each year but he has problems tackling the QB. He should have had at least 10 sacks this season but he just hasn’t been finishing. With his improvement in stopping the run this year, his playing time will increase and with more playing time, comes more sacks. I wouldn’t be shocked if he finally puts it together and ends up being among the NFL sack leaders next year and finally breaks out of his shell.
4. Dontay Moch LB
Moch was the Bengals’ third round pick 2 years ago and has only been active for one or two games because of his issue with migraines. I think he is a breakout candidate because he is one of the most athletic linebackers I have ever seen. He had trouble grasping the playbook his rookie season but the talent is there. He first must control his problems off the field before he can start to actually play football. Calling Moch a breakout candidate may be a reach since he might not even touch the field of play next season but I think he becomes able to control his migraines better and starts to play some football. I am very anxious to see what this kid can do.
