NFL Draft: If I was Bengals GM on Draft Day: Rounds 2-3

The third-round is here and we have another pick. The best player available is Tyrann “the honey badger” Mathieu. We all know what happen with the Mathieu last year but still, you cannot ignore his playmaking skills.  In the NFL today with turnovers being as important as they are in deciding the outcome of games, spending a third is well worth his upside.

I believe Tyrann will be a perfect fit here and thrive under DC Mike Zimmer. He could come in play nickelback and relieve Jones of his ST duties allowing him to stay healthy playing corner. Jones, who used to be a frequent contact in Goodells’ phone, has become accountable for his actions would be a great mentor to young Tyrann. So I take Mathieu with our 3rd-round pick.
