2013 will certainly bring a new set of expectations for the Bengals and anything short of winning in the playoffs is going to be a disappointment. Where does the road begin for Cincinnati? Can it end in the Meadowlands in Super Bowl XLVIII? There is no reason not to think so. This road will be hard fought, long and winding, making its way through the AFC East, NFC North and of course the toughest division in football, the AFC North.

There are, however, lots of questions that need answered. For instance, what to do at middle linebacker? Who is the #2 receiver? How much is too much for Andre Smith? If the Bengals extend the contract of Geno Atkins, then what does that leave for Michael Johnson and Kevin Huber? These questions will have to be addressed and answered along this path to the Super Bowl. The Bengals have the highest cap room of $55.1 million dollars, so signing everyone they need to, and maybe a free agent here or there shouldn’t be an issue.
