Updates from NFL Free Agency are coming in daily, and even by the hour, so here’s the latest news on players around the league.
The Minnesota Vikings signed former Packers WR Greg Jennings to a five-year, 47.5 million dollar contract. (Talk about going to the enemy?)
Then there was the agent mix-up with Elvis Dumervil. The Denver Broncos and their highly regarded DE had reached a verbal deal that would lower his 2013 pay from 12 million to 8 million. However, his agent didn’t fax his paperwork in accordance with the NFL in time before the 4:00 p.m. deadline. The Broncos were forced to release Dumervil.
As NFL.com states, “Elvis has left the building.”
In a big move, RB Steven Jackson has officially signed with the Atlanta Falcons for a 12 million deal for 2013.
QB Matt Cassel has signed with the Minnesota Vikings, according to Fox Sports Insider and NFL Network contributor Jay Glazer.
The Houston Chronicle’s John McClain expects Ed Reed to sign with the Texans.
Former Patriots RB Danny Woodhead has agreed to a two-year deal with the San Diego Chargers.
The Dolphins have reached a one-year deal with TE Dustin Keller, as the theme of signing with the enemy seems to continue.
RB Leon Washington has signed a one-year deal with the New England Patriots.
TE Matt Spaeth has agreed to terms with the Pittsburgh Steelers
Adrian Wilson has agreed to a three-year deal with the New England Patriots.
G Dylan Gandy has reportedly re-signed with the Detroit Lions, according to the Sideline View’s Adam Caplan.
DE Antonio Garay is making the move from San Diego to New York, as
ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported Friday that Garay agreed to a one-year deal with the New York Jets.
WR Ben Obomanu reported via twitter that he has been released by the Seattle Seahawks after seven years with the team.
WR Brandon Gibson signed a three-year deal with the Miami Dolphins.
The San Diego Chargers have signed RB Ronnie Brown to a one-year deal.
