Bernard Scott had a promising start to his NFL career with the Bengals as averaged 4.6 yards on his first 135 NFL carries, but injuries have prevented Scott from ever being able to stay on the field, and after tearing his ACL last year, he believes he’ll be back to normal in 2013, and he’s using Minnesota Vikings running back Adrian Peterson’s epic 2,000-yard season coming off of a torn ACL and MCL has inspired Scott:
"My doctor says I’m ahead of schedule and I’ve had no setbacks with swelling or anything like that. I’m already back to running and cutting. I feel like the way my rehab is going, I feel like, yeah, I can get back to being the old Bernard. Even better."
On Peterson as motivation:
"I use that and all kinds of things to motivate me. You see other guys do it. They come back even stronger and I think I can do that."
