#bengals have agreed to terms on a one-year deal with TE Alex Smith. He should be arriving in town today to sign the contract.

Smith is the third FA from another team to sign with #bengals this season. As in the one everyone keeps asking about, nothing new yet.

Smith has played in 26 games over the last two seasons for the Browns. He’s caught 27 passes for 178 yards over that span. He played in more of an H-back type role for the Browns as he lined up on the line of scrimmage and in the backfield. He’s played for 8 seasons after entering the league in 2005 as a third-round draft pick by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
Also, this tidbit came from Geoff Hobson last week as the Bengals looked to be on the verge of signing Smith:
If Smith signs, he'd probably be #Bengals No. 2 TE. In 9th year, he's been with 3 teams and broke in with Jay Gruden in Tampa Bay
