The Cincinnati Bengals will be joining the Atlanta Falcons for a pair of joint practice sessions during training camp.
The sessions will take place Monday and Tuesday, Aug. 5-6, and will be open to the public. Times are to be determined. On Thursday, August 8, the two teams will open their preseason schedules with an 8 p.m. game at the Georgia Dome, scheduled for primetime on ESPN.
Bengals head coach Marvin Lewis:
“I’m glad we were able to work this out with Mike and the Falcons. We’ve done some joint practices with other teams in Cincinnati in the past, and I think it helps our guys stay sharp and focused as we move through the preseason. You put yourself on the field with another team and let the competitive juices flow a little bit.”
The Bengals have also announced their training camp period will run from July 25 through Aug. 15.
Bob Bedinghaus, Bengals director of business development:
“This will be our second year holding camp in Cincinnati, and we’re looking forward to another great run.”
