Chad Johnson Arrested Today for Probation Violation

It was reported last Thursday that a Florida judge had issued an arrest warrant for former Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Chad Johnson for violating his probation on a domestic violence charge from last summer. After spending the last year out of the NFL after being cut by the Miami Dolphins due to that arrest, Johnson was hoping to make a comeback this season and that an NFL club would give the troubled receiver one more chance.
That doesn’t appear like it will ever come, as Johnson was arrested today in Florida and is awaiting his bail to be set. This stems from Johnson failing to report to his probation officer on May 7th, which is a violation of the terms of his probation.
As of now, Johnson has 11,059 career receiving yards with the Cincinnati Bengals and New England Patriots, good for the 28th-most all-time. He never played in a regular season game for the Dolphins, and probably never will again for any NFL team.
