Hue Jackson Making Bigger Impact with Bengals the Second Time Around

Hue Jackson can be the man for the job. In his only season as a head coach with Oakland, Jackson showed promise as a head coach. Under him, the Raiders posted an 8-8 and finished tied for first in the AFC West, only to lose in tiebreakers. With this experience, Jackson would be in the best position to take over while Mike Zimmer keeps control of the defense which has been one of the more consistent units in the league over the past six seasons.
It’s also worth looking at how instrumental he was in the development of Raiders tight end/fullback Marcel Reece.
Reece is 6-foot-3 and 240 pounds, and compares favorably to current Bengal Orson Charles, who is 6-foot-3 and 250 pounds, and was used in a similar role with the Bengals late last season when Chris Pressley went down with an injury. Perhaps he can work that same magic here.
Granted, all of these situations are hypothetical at this point in time. With that being said, it is not out of the realm of possibility that things transpire this way, especially with the way events around the league are happening. As of right now, Hue Jackson is in a great position with the Bengals, and we should hope he is here for a while.
