Former Dixie Heights High School teacher and Cincinnati Bengals cheerleader Sarah Jones has won a defamation lawsuit against gossip website  because of two posts that said she probably has two sexually transmitted diseases and had sex with every football player on the Bengals football team. She was suing them for $11 million, but was only awarded $338,000.

The lead attorney for Jones, Eric Deters, had this statement following the ruling:

"Today. A wise jury. A fair judge. A brave woman. Changed America for the better. This is historic. I am honored to be part of it."

Jones sued the site in 2009 after they published comments alleging she was promiscuous and had sexually transmitted diseases.

It’s also worth pointing out that this trial was unrelated to Jones’ sexual relationship with a student when she taught at Dixie Heights High School in Edgewood.

She admitted to sleeping with York when he was a 17-year-old senior at Dixie Heights High School, where she was a teacher.

Jones pleaded guilty in October 2012 in state court to misdemeanor sexual misconduct and felony custodial interference and was sentenced to two years in prison, but her plea agreement allows her to avoid prison time as long as she follows the terms of her probation for five years.

Jones is actually engaged to Cody York, the student she allegedly had undergae sex with.
