Single Season Rushing Yards:

Potential Record breaker: Adrian Peterson

Adrian Peterson came up nine yards short of this record, and that was right after recovering from ACL surgery. He is the cornerstone of that Vikings franchise and the best RB in the league. He just had hernia surgery, and we saw that happened last time he had to have surgery.

Dec 30 2012; Denver, CO, USA; Denver Broncos outside linebacker

Single Season Sacks Record:

Potential record breakers: Von Miller, Jared Allen, Terrell Suggs, the entire 49ers defense

Offense wins games, but defense wins championships. Go ahead and have a #1 offense, but as the Patriots this past year can attest, if you have no defense, then you will be in for a playoff shock. You need a good linebacking corps, and with names like Von Miller and Terrell Suggs, your defense will be feared. Then there are the 49ers. Let’s go over some names: Aldon Smith, Justin Smith, Patrick Willis. Exactly. That’s what I thought.
