AFC East:

Patriots (12-4), Dolphins (9-7), Bills (7-9), Jets (3-13)

The Patriots have had a very tough offseason, and understandably, a lot of people have written them off, but I have two words: Tom Brady. I have two more words: Bill Belichick. As long as the Pats have these two, they will be just fine. Stevan Ridley is really becoming a good runningback, and that defense should improve. Remember the days that the Patriots were dominant?

That was the formula for their success, a strong running game and a good defense. Watch out for this team. The Dolphins had perhaps the best offseason of all the teams. They added Mike Wallace and Dustin Keller, which will help Ryan Tannehill out tremendously. That defense will improve with the addition of Dannell Ellerbe. I might get some flak for this, but the Dolphins are going to be in the playoffs this year.

The Bills are one of those teams that I want to say they will do well, but they will be merely a six win team. They have a great running game, and a solid defense. Their really big needs are at QB and WR.

The Jets are in serious trouble, and when I say serious, I mean they are going to have the first overall draft choice. Mark Sanchez is not an NFL starting QB, and I’m really not sold on Geno Smith, and this is coming from a guy that has watched him for three years.

AFC West:

Broncos (13-3), Chiefs (7-9), Chargers (7-9), Raiders (4-12)

Peyton Manning and the Broncos are going to dominate this division. I mean, when you have Wes Welker, Damaryus Thomas, Eric Decker, and Jacob Tamme to throw the ball too, you had better win the division.

The Chiefs are kinda rebuilding, and they will be contenders soon.

The Chargers are on the downswing, and the Raiders won’t be contenders for a while.

Division Winners

1. Broncos

2. Patriots

3. Bengals

4. Texans

5. Colts

6. Dolphins
