Thursday Night was a great start for a team expected to be one of the best in the NFL in 2013. The Cincinnati Bengals Controlled the tempo and clock throughout a game that was being tagged as a Super Bowl preview by some of NFL Network writers earlier in the year.
The same ones who took back those statements after watching the Bengals defensive line manhandle the Falcons offensive line during the weeks practices and scrimmages, saying, “Atlanta does not look as good as we anticipated earlier in the year”
My question to them is, “Could it be that the Bengals are actually that good right now?”
The Falcons are playing good football, and they will make a run this year. The Bengals just proved they were the better team during the first week of preseason. It’s still early, and the Bengals have many things to work on, and I can assume they will be in the film room working on those issues sometime today while preparing for next week’s game.
I don’t want to get into the negatives and mistakes today. Instead, I want to point out some possibly unknown and unrecognized stats from last night’s game.
