The 2013 Cincinnati Bengals roster, could quite possibly be the deepest it has ever been. There is a deluge of position battles all over this team. The final cut is August 31st with only two more preseason games to play, and the battles are getting more and more intense. This is what you want as a head coach and general manager. I’ll play GM for today, and choose the final roster spots for the this deeply talented team.

Quarterback (2) – Andy Dalton, Josh Johnson
Josh Johnson adds an extra dynamic to the team, and Marvin Lewis stated that is what he wanted in the #2 Quarterback. Josh Johnson has also had a great training camp and preseason.
First surprise cut is Rex Burkhead, the 190th pick in the draft from Nebraska. He has had a good preseason, but so has Boom Herron. Herron also contributes on special teams more than Burkhead.
