Defensive Line (12): Michael Johnson, Carlos Dunlap, Robert Geathers, Wallace Gilberry, Margus Hunt,  Domata Peko, Geno Atkins, Devon Still, Brandon Thompson, Terrence Stephens, Dontay Moch, DeQuin Evans

Linebacker (9): Vontaze Burfict, James Harrison, Rey Maualuga, Sean Porter, Jayson Dimanche, Emmanuel Lamur, Vincent Ray, J.K. Shaffer, Bruce Taylor

Cornerback and Safety (11): Leon Hall, Dre Kirkpatrick, Adam Jones, Terence Newman, Brandon Ghee,  Reggie Nelson, Shawn Williams, George Iolka, Jeromy Miles, Taylor Mays, Chris Lewis-Harris

No real surprises on the defensive line, but how about Terrence Stephens? He played much better this week and is making his case to land on the practice squad or another team. Hopefully we will see Brandon Thompson for the first time this week in Dallas.  Dontay Moch has played hard this preseason and played a lot of snaps, he’ll make it to 75 but not the 53.

I like what Jayson Dimanche did last week even if others didn’t, he had several hustle plays and plays with exceptional quickness. JK Shaffer continues to be solid and will continue to hold on until the end.  Minus one safety, this could be the defensive backfield to start the season. I can’t tell that Shaun Prater has done enough to stick.
