The third preseason game is one of the most interesting. It’s when mostly all the starters get a good bit of playing time and get to shake the rust off to get ready for the season. Not only that, but this is when rookies and new additions get some more experience with the speed of the game with their new teams. While many viewers are interested in watching the starters, there are also backups fighting for spots on this team. Here are six players to watch tonight.

1. Andy Dalton. Dalton has received a ton of criticism this past offseason, by fans and the media. While he has done well in the regular season and won games, his playoff games have been inadequate and has made people question his ability. The Bengals have given Dalton more weapons on offense to help progress him, so tonight is going to be a time where one should watch Dalton using his new additions to the offense.
Whether he plays well or not, the main focus should be if he is targeting the new players and trying to get them the ball. Many players are coming off of injury, but this offense has weapons at Dalton’s disposal. He just has to make right decisions and know how to use them.
