4. Dan Herron

Bengals fans must be excited about how the running game has panned out this preseason. In the preseason, the Bengals rank 2nd in rushing yards per game. Herron has been a big part of that, accounting for big yards and even a touchdown. The runningback corp has numerous options and they all have something different to offer this team. Herron might have been on the outside looking in, but a strong casing may force the Bengals front office to keep four runningbacks. Herron has done well with every opportunity he has been given, and may do so again tonight.

5. John Skelton

While he saw zero snaps last game, the backup quarterback position is still up for grabs. Josh Johnson had a great opportunity to take that spot and run with it, but he was inconsistent and allowed it to slip away from him. Skelton has a chance tonight to show that he deserves a spot on this team. He will have to show poise, confidence, and consistency to stay on this team. Skelton has upside, but he has to show progression before the Bengals can trust him with this spot. Tonight is Skelton’s opportunity to become the backup quarterback.
