The Taste of the NFL is a non-profit organization dedicated to kicking hunger in America by rallying the countrys best chefs and the NFLs greatest to support hunger relief. Over the past 22 years, the Taste of the NFL has distributed more than $14 million to food banks through its national Super Bowl event called The Party with a Purpose. The Bengals linebacking corp may be the thinnest position on the roster right now, and Marvin Lewis made it clear the team was going to look to add a sixth LB via waivers after final roster cuts left them with just five backers. That simply won’t cut it in today’s NFL, and if Cincinnati can’t find an adequate player on the waiver wire, the man who could get a call is former starting weakside LB Thomas Howard.
After tearing his ACL during a Week 2 practice last year, Howard was lost for the year, and Vontaze Burfict emerged in his place to take over the WLB spot. Joe Reedy of the Cincinnati Enquirer spoke with Howard this offseason about the progress he’s making after tearing his ACL.
