Well, Week 1 in the NFL is already over and the Cincinnati Bengals bid at a perfect season is now over. 0-1 is not exactly the start Bengaldom was hoping for, and in a sloppy game that was plagued by poor clock management, dumb penalties, and drive killing turnovers, it’s no wonder the Bengals are win-less. There is a silver lining to this and Bengals fans shouldn’t feel too terrible.

First thing is, the Bengals lost to the Chicago Bears. The Bears are an NFC team and since the Browns, Steelers and Ravens all lost to AFC teams, this loss didn’t hurt as bad and put the Bengals at the top of the AFC North. Secondly, the Bengals offense was better than advertised. Yes, two interceptions and two fumbles don’t exactly sound on point, but Andy Dalton is hardly to blame for the turnovers, and besides one sack the offensive line kept Dalton’s number 14 jersey bright white.
