Aaron Rodgers has been sacked six times already this year, which is tied for 7th in the league. Johnson will have to continue to be consistent if he wants to help this team come out with a victory. Last time the Bengals played the Packers, the defensive line pressure was a huge reason why the Bengals came out of Lambeau field with a win. This time, the game is in Paul Brown Stadium, but the defensive line will be relied upon heavily with this offense coming to town.

Michael Johnson has an opportunity to prove he deserves a nice contract extension like Dunlap and Atkins received. Although he was offered a contract, Johnson would like to prove that he is worth more than that after having a breakout year in 2012. By all appearances, it is going to be a hard decision at the end of the year whether the Bengals sign him or not, but that’s farther down the line. Right now, let us focus on how well he is doing and how his play could help this team reach deep into the playoffs.

Johnson has tremendous potential, and he’s starting to live up to it.
