FS Reggie Nelson

The usually steady Nelson has had a bit of an up and down season and has had to miss some time as well.  Two safety blitzes from him, two Buffalo touchdowns, you think Zimmer learned his lesson?  Nelson will have his hands full this week staying deep to contain Calvin Johnson while also keeping tabs on the game breaker Reggie Bush, and touchdown machines RB Joique Bell and TE Jo.  It’s safe to say that I don’t think Nelson will be blitzing this week.

TE Alex Smith

This one may seem out of nowhere but Smith has become the fullback when the Bengals use one and after all the Conner or Charles debate, it’s Smith who is active on game days and lead blocking, which he does not excel at. Smith did not have a good game against the Bills, he was involved in several small altercations and drew a penalty.  If he is going to play a role on the offense it will need to be while helping account for positive yards instead of negative ones.  Makes you think about who Chris Pressley will/might replace.
