In the middle of things with the least recognition, the center position is a thankless job in the NFL. The veteran center hasn’t had a break this year going against the NFL’s top defensive lines. This week will be no different because I think the Jets just drafted another 1st round D-lineman.

With recent 1st round picks Muhammad Wilkerson, Quinten Coples, and Sheldon Richardson, the Jets have built a formidable front. Throw in 350lb Nose Tackle Damon Harrison, and Cook will be faced with challenges all day. However if Cook can help keep the pocket clean, Andy Dalton should be able to pick his spots against a leaky secondary.

RB Giovani Bernard

The legal assistant to the Law Firm is on pace for a rookie of the year award.  This week he will have to use his knack for finding room to run because the Jets are built for the pounding style of BenJarvis Green-Ellis. Bernard will also have to be smart and take the yards he can get without enduring extra punishment on himself.

It will be interesting to see how much Gio plays on passing downs because of the 265lb and 280lb Calvin Pace and Quinten Coples coming off the edge.  If he is in there to block, go low Gio, go low.
