With AFC North clash on horizon, Ravens sign Bernard Scott

The Baltimore Ravens signed a familiar face today as they inked free agent running back Bernard Scott to a deal today. It’s an interesting move for the Ravens, who already have Ray Rice and Bernard Pierce on the roster taking up most of the carries, and this also comes after news the team worked-out Beanie Wells last week.

If they’re dealing with an injury to Rice, then it will prove to be even more difficult for them to catch-up to the Bengals in the AFC North. Or maybe they’re just trying to get a little inside info on the Bengals before the two teams play in Baltimore in Week 10. After the Bengals play Thursday night vs the Miami Dolphins, they’ll luckily have 10 days to rest-up before their AFC North clash.

The Ravens have to win that game to stay alive in the race, or risk going down 3+ games with five weeks left in the season.
