AFC North: Players and matchups to watch

1 of 3

Though the Cincinnati Bengals won’t be playing today they’ll almost certainly be keeping tabs on their AFC North brethren, particularly the showdown in Cleveland as the Browns host the Ravens in one of their rare times Cincinnati fans will be rooting for that other Ohio team.

Meanwhile, the Pittsburgh Steelers will look to revive their season with a huge road-win vs the New England Patriots. Both of these contest figure to have the attention of the Bengals, and here’s the players who will help decide these match ups:

Cleveland Browns Tight End Jordan Cameron

Cameron, in his third season with the team, is on pace for nearly 1,200 yards and 12 touchdowns this season. If the Browns want to upset the Ravens at home, Cameron will have to have a big game and exploit mismatches with Raven linebackers. None of them are capable of containing him, and he’s primed for a big game.

He had four catches on four targets for 81 yards in Week 8 in their narrow-loss to the Kansas City Chiefs, but he’ll need to do more if they want to get their first win in over a month at home this week. At the rate he’s going, he’ll begin to be routinely mentioned in the same breath as  Jimmy Graham and Rob Gronkowski, and helping lead his team to an upset-win over Baltimore would help that happen even faster.
