Week 9 of the NFL season and fantasy football season saw several players break out and produce some uncharacteristic big games. We also saw some of the players who will be emerging from all the injuries to take over the production left by a bigger name starter.  One piece of advice I give novice fantasy players is as soon as you lose a player to an injury, start getting to know their back up, put them on your watch list or go ahead and roster them for a few weeks.

Sometimes these players pick up the slack, but sometimes it comes from another position on the team.  Here are some of my week 10 adds.

Week 10 Player Adds:

Tampa Bay Buccaneers running back Mike James

The rookie has taken over lead back duties because of the injury to starter Doug Martin and is taking the promotion in stride. In Martins absence James has accounted for close to 300 yards offense, and caught 9 passes, he still doesn’t have a touchdown yet it you subtract the 1 he threw for in week 9. One thing we know is that he is getting most of the carries in the run game.

We may need another week to see if he can continue to produce but if you’re a Doug Martin owner James is for sure worth an add.
