Mike Zimmer ready for challenge of no Geno Atkins; Brandon Thompson ready to answer the call

The Cincinnati Bengals aren’t about to give up on their dreams of winning the Super Bowl, despite losing their best player and top defender in defensive tackle Geno Atkins. The All-Pro has been the heart and soul of a unit that’s been in the top-10 of NFL defenses for three straight seasons, and his loss leaves a lot of production to be made up for.

But defensive coordinator Mike Zimmer isn’t backing down from this challenge, and like the many he’s faced before, he’s ready to attack it head-on and keep this unit performing like one of the league’s best:

The team doesn’t want to let the losses of Atkins and cornerback Leon Hall be an excuse for a let down. Speaking of which, the Bengals want to keep playing hard to not let down their fallen comrades:
