The Cincinnati Bengals have been decimated on the injury front over the past three weeks. They’ve lost two Pro Bowlers in Geno Atkins and Leon Hall for the season, linebacker Rey Maualuga for the next few weeks with an MCL sprain, his backup in Michael Boley to a bum hamstring and backup safety Taylor Mays for the season with a dislocated shoulder.
Needless to say, they need some good news regarding the health of their players, and that came today in that Hall has already had surgery to repair his torn Achilles:
Hall previously tore his other Achilles on November 13, 2011, and less than three months after surgery, Hall was able to run lightly and jump off boxes. If that same pace occurs this time, Hall will likely miss the offseason workouts in May and June, but will be ready when training camp starts in late July, just as he was the first time.
