Each week, I’ll begin doing a fantasy football column on some of the week’s hottest topics regarding players who could be making a significant impact for your team. That being said, here’s a list of moves you need to make before this week’s NFL action kicks-off:

Pickup Jets RB Chris Ivory
If you’ve followed fantasy football closely, you’d know he was projected as a high draft pick prior to the season, but injuries and inconsistent play have left many owners dropping him, causing him to be available in many leagues.
With news that the Jets lost Mike Goodson for the year to a torn ACL, coupled with Bilal Powell losing carries due to his inconsistencies, Ivory figures to be the feature back going forward. Against his former team Sunday, Ivory ran with a chip on his shoulder Sunday, punishing the New Orleans Saints with 93 first-half yards and 139 overall in the Jets’ 26-20 win.
Ivory is clearly superior to Powell, and the coaches see that now and have made him the feature back. He’s worth a pickup if he’s sitting on the waiver wire in your league, and could eventually become a solid RB-2.
