Out of Dalton’s 44 starts, he has had under 50% completion percentage just 4 times, including this past week. He has had a QB rating over 95% in 17 games. Dalton has never lost a game when his team scores 25+ points. He has beaten RGIII, Eli Manning (whom were Super Bowl champs the year before), Big Ben (in a game that put them into the playoffs), Aaron Rodgers, Tom Brady, and Matthew Stafford. Dalton has done extremely well, even when little was expected from him.
So everyone calling for Dalton’s head, just relax. It takes time for a quarterback to completely develop. This team is extremely young and lacks experience but Dalton has done well leading the team. Dalton is not afraid to take the blame, which is a good thing from any quarterback, and he has made progressions throughout his career. So for everyone pushing the panic button on Dalton, just take a step back, take a deep breathe, and see what he can do with this team on his back. He has a chance to do something no Bengals quarterback has ever done before, lead the Bengals to the playoffs three years in a row.
