The New Orleans Saints defense had another great game Sundayt vs the San Francisco 49ers, but they lost cornerback Jabari Greer to a leg injury that forced him to be carted off the field in the first quarter. Saints Head Coach Sean Payton announced Monday that the team had placed Greer on injured reserve due to a torn ACL, and signed DB Trevin Wade to fiol his roster spot.

Detroit Lions receiver Nate Burleson believes “there’s a chance” he returns in Week 12 against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Bucs free safety Dashon Goldson’s one-game suspension has been upheld, and he will miss Sunday’s game against the Lions. His latest infraction was for a helmet-to-helmet hit on a defenseless receiver, Atlanta Falcons wide receiver Roddy White during Sundays game. Ultimately, appeals officer Ted Cottrell decided to uphold the suspension.

St. Louis rams quarterback Sam Bradford underwent surgery on his torn left ACL last Thursday, while Tennessee Titans QB Jake Locker is scheduled to have surgery on his torn Lisfranc o Wednesday.

Free agent QBs Trent Edwards and Mike Kafka worked out for the Falcons.
The Falcons lost No. 2 quarterback Dominique Davis to injury in Sunday’s blowout loss to the Bucs. Edwards was part of the Bears’ final cuts this summer,

San Diego Chargers wide receiver Keenan suffered a right knee injury Sunday, forcing him to miss the rest of the game, but Chargers Head Coach Mike McCoy said that Allen would be fine going forward. Allen had a knee issue coming out of college that caused his draft stock to fall, but the team doesn’t think this is related.
